Storks are birds that choose their home carefully. Where there are storks, there is good around and people live in prosperity with themselves and with others. Among birds they are known for their fidelity, once they choose their home, storks return to it again and again every spring. And when they don't return, it means that things are very bad, that the air, water, people - are polluted with greed, despondency, envy... This is exactly what happened in the village of Baranda in Vojvodina...

Fate, or a combination of circumstances, brings our main heroes, Švaba and Ekser (Boche and Nail), to Baranda. Losers from Belgrade, who survive by engaging in petty crime, see the house in Baranda, which they inherit from a rich relative, as a salvation from debts and dangerous people to whom they are indebted. And Baranda peasants believe that their salvation lies in Svaba and Ekser, whom they think are businessmen and are seen as powerful friends. That's how things look at the first glance. Together they will find salvation in each other but on a completely different level...
